About

Welcome! My name is Claire and I am a proud mum, Complementary Healthcare Therapist, Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, and passionate lover of food and nutrition.

Becoming a holistic health coach has definitely been my calling in life, as I have always taken great joy in helping others. In 2004 I made the difficult decision to walk away from 15 years of working for the corporate banking sector in London, and moved to Brighton. Once settled, I began studies for a Foundation Degree in Complementary Healthcare; my training as a therapist included a foundation in holistic wellbeing, nutrition, psychotherapy and philosophies of Chinese medicine. I took exams in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology as well as achieving hands on practice certificates in advanced aromatherapy, advanced reflexology and sports remedial massage.

This was the beginning of an incredible journey in which I transitioned into working for a mental health NHS trust for 8 years, advising and supporting patients. My empathy and understanding of the struggles that people experience on a day-to-day basis increased dramatically over those 8 years. However, I was still interested in finding an integrated approach to health and the powers that good nutrition can contribute. This was an area within my knowledge that I knew I wanted to develop and incorporate into a holistic practice.

In 2015 I was so excited to discover that a relatively new role existed of Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. This was my perfect career, combining everything I love into one; it was a no brainer. I signed up immediately with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, and thereafter began their extensive course, which covers over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques and innovative coaching methods. This invaluable training has equipped me with an extremely broad knowledge in holistic nutrition, health-coaching, preventing illness and enhancing health.

I was my own first client, and through my coaching program I was able to dramatically reduce symptoms of arthritis, gain more energy, lose weight, manage hormonal changes positively, eliminate stomach bloating, stop my cravings for sugar and improve self confidence. To say it has been transformational would be putting it mildly.

Now, I specialise in working with busy 40+ year-old women who would like to improve their health and find more energy and balance in all aspects of their life. Be it digestive issues, stress, headaches, hormones, weight gain, skin problems, fatigue, brain fog, aches, pains, or any other concern that many women face today, it is my passion for helping women reboot their lives which drives me each and every day. My holistic approach to health means that I will look at both lifestyle and the body as a whole, and help clients identify the root cause of any imbalance that has caused concern. Through my programs, I work with my clients to develop a customized plan that fits into their life by taking the individual’s physical, emotional and lifestyle factors into account. I then address any concerns, and come up with small, sustainable steps to improve overall health and vitality, leading to permanent, positive change.

This is the work that lights me up, and what I feel extremely passionate about. I hope you’ll find this site a great resource of knowledge.  I look forward very much to helping you on your journey to good health and vitality!
