Energy Balls (Bliss balls)

200g Cashew nuts
200g Almonds
100g Cacao nibs
50g Flax seed (linseed) optional
Tablespoon of coconut oil

  • Simply blend all the ingredients (apart from the coconut oil) together in a high speed blender such as the Nutri-bullet until all the nuts have completely broken down and started to form a paste. You may need to stop start intermittently scraping the ingredients away from the blade every so often.
  • Heat the coconut oil really gently until melted.
  • Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix.
  • Mixture should be clay-like in consistency and easy to mould into round balls.
  • Refrigerate!
  • Eat for enjoyment

These balls of bliss score low on the glycemic index and provide a very slow release of energy, helping maintain optimum blood glucose levels, curbing any cravings for sweet things. The nuts provide an abundance of healthy fats and fibre for good gut health. The flax seeds are a great source of Omega 3 which your body cannot make and what most people are deficient in. Omega 3 is essential for our brain, hormones and general health.
